ServiceMaster Clean Celebrates Diversity
Black Enterprise Magazine listed ServiceMaster Clean in their 25 Most Affordable Franchises - September, 2008 issue
ServiceMaster Clean is a proud member of MinorityFran, an initiative of the International Franchise Association (IFA). Launched in February, 2006, MinorityFran was created to build the awareness of franchising within minority communities and increase the numbers of minority franchisees, employees and suppliers.
Every year, the U.S. government and businesses throughout the private sector award millions of dollars in contracts to certified minority and women-owned businesses in the commercial cleaning industry. The Federal Government, through the Office of Government Contracting, has long had a goal of purchasing from small companies owned by ethnic minorities and women-owned businesses 20% of its $200 billion in total annual small business purchases.
Despite continued growth in the number and economic impact of minority and women-owned firms, this goal has never been reached. The Federal Government, through the Small Business Administration, offers special assistance to minority businesses through its 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business Program. In addition, many businesses have developed Diversity Plans and have specific goals for purchasing service and products from minority or women-owned businesses. Some of these businesses offer incentives to these suppliers on contracts or competitive bids.
ServiceMaster Clean can help you tap into the Federal Government and business opportunities for cleaning services if you are an ethnic minority or a woman who wants to start your own business in the Commercial cleaning field. In addition to providing you national brand awareness and name recognition, ServiceMaster Clean has a National Sales Team to help you capitalize on these opportunities.
Also, ServiceMaster Clean offers a 15% discount on the initial franchise fee for its Janitorial license to all ethnic minorities and women who will own at least 51% of a business and be active in the management of it. Please call David Messenger at 1-800-338-6833 today to learn more about these great opportunities for ethnic minorities and women.
