Franchise Award Rules & Program Disclaimer: Must be a U. S. Citizen or Authorized to work in the United States. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be a member of at least one of the following minority groups: African American, Arab-Indian, Asian, Hispanic, Native American or Pacific Islander, or be a female. Must have no felony convictions and undergo a national background check. Must have good credit and be willing to undergo a credit check. Access to working capital of $10,000 required (to be disclosed). Must meet ServiceMaster Clean disclosure standards. Must submit a 1,000- to 1,500-word essay on how you would utilize the ServiceMaster Corporate Objectives in your business. Must demonstrate business acumen (or describe previous business experience). Applicants may be contacted by The ServiceMaster Company and its affiliates. Open to employees of franchises or of branch offices only of the ServiceMaster enterprise. Excludes existing and former franchise owners of the ServiceMaster enterprise and industry independent or competitive franchise businesses. One submission per applicant. Territory or metropolitan area selection is at sole discretion of ServiceMaster Clean and may be different from the examples given. All eligible applicants entered in the program will have the opportunity for one of the franchises awarded throughout the year. Applications will be accepted through December 31, 2008. Deadlines will be announced at various times throughout the year to notify applicants of next award date on www.ownafranchise.com/BattierProgram. Must be willing to relocate, at own expense, to area if awarded a territory different than present residency. Must establish newly awarded business within six to 12 months of scholarship award date. First franchise to be awarded by June 30, 2007. All the franchises to be awarded by December 31, 2008. The decision of the judges is final. Award is not transferable within 24 months of contract signature date. |
